These are some of the current projects we are working on
Employment for people with Autism
We are currently seeking funding to provide specialist employment support to people with autism in Oxfordshire. We have only raised part of the money so far but hope to have the project up and running later this year.
Routeways to Employment
This is a project funded by the European Social Fund and led by VT Enterprise who are working in partnership with a number of organisations, including Right Employment.
The project is aimed at people who are over 19 and unemployed and provides them with support to find employment.
Right Employment's part in this project is to work with a number of people who have a learning disability and to support them in moving into paid employment or voluntary work. We operate a programme which includes vocational profiling, work tasters, CV writing, job search skills, interview preparation and support to find and sustain employment.
Employment for all
This project concentrates on supporting those people who have a learning disability who want to work less than 16 hours per week. It works with people irrespective of the level of their disability or the hours they wish to work, enabling people who have not worked before to experience paid employment for a small number of hours. They can then progress to working more hours in the future.
We are now in the second year of this project which funds one Employment Consultant. The first year was funded by Oxfordshire Learning Disability Partnership Board and the project is currently funded through grants from a number of charitable trusts and foundations - CHK Charities Limited, The Lynn Foundation, The PF Charitable Trust, The Baily Thomas Charitable Fund and The Triangle Trust 1949 Fund.
